How to attach a Mr Clipr to your belt, bag or trousers

One of the main advantages of the Mr Clipr is how easy it is to attach: no complicated buckles or straps, but a simple clip that you fasten in a few seconds, without needing a manual to get it done.
Step 1: choose an attachment point
The Mr Clipr can be attached to a belt, belt loop, bag strap, skirt, dress or even a ribbon. Choose a sturdy, non-stretchy point for the best grip, because a fabric that stretches too much can give a little more play than you want when you move.
Step 2: clamp the Mr Clipr in place
Open the clip and place it around the chosen attachment point. Then let the clip click shut. You feel and hear a clear click when it is properly attached, so you never have to wonder whether it worked.
Step 3: attach your cup or bottle
Place your hard cup, soft cup or PET bottle in the upper part of the clip. The smart design makes sure the cup or bottle is held firmly, even while you move, without you having to use extra force to get it in place.
Step 4: release and reattach when needed
Want a drink? Lift the cup or bottle out with one hand. When you are done, simply put it back in the clip. You can repeat this dozens of times a day without the clip losing its grip.
Tips for the best grip
For the firmest attachment, preferably choose a belt or belt loop rather than a thin or stretchy fabric. Read more about the difference between the cup holder and bottle clip versions on our page cup holder versus bottle clip.
What to do with an unusual garment
Wearing something without an obvious belt or belt loop, such as a dress or a carnival costume? Then look for a sash, waistband or sturdy seam the clip can go around. Most outfits have a suitable attachment point somewhere, even if it isn't the first place you think of.
Common mistakes when attaching
The most common mistake is choosing an attachment point that is too thin or too stretchy, so the clip sits less firmly than it could. A second common mistake is putting the cup or bottle in at an angle rather than straight, which can reduce the grip slightly. By paying attention to this the first time, the right way of attaching soon becomes second nature.
